I hope a lot of taxidermist want to join me with this subject.
It is not make the nicest bird, but the most rarest.
Please send a lot of photos so that we all can see what is available in the world of rare birds.
I start with some  birds of my own collection, but you can also send photos of museums.
The first is an Kakapo.

Micronesian kingfisher from Guam. On a temporary base until his permanent exhibit is ready.
I don't think these guys are 100% extinct yet, but none are left in the wild.
(This was a total salvage job and I don't usually show mounts that look this bad, but the bird was necropsied very roughly with SCISSORS (!) (or maybe hedge trimmers) cutting through bone, feathers, the skull, you name it ... I wanted to kick the vet who did it!)

I have another picture of the poor little guy. He had a lot of clipped-off feathers which were still stuck to him so I saved them and glued them in.

Rough, but better than no feathers at all, right?

Here's another one. Not as rare, but she was really pretty. A blue-lined lory.

A neat corvid on a stupid temporary base. Not rare, but pretty.
(I wish I could get one of these for MYSELF!)
