Not rare, but not easy to get:

An Adelie penguin, wild from Anarctica, mounted in 1982 for a customer who couldn't afford to pick it up when it was done. It has had a hard life since then, poor thing. I wish I could do it over.

I wasn't too unhappy about it, Francois. It really is a neat bird, even though I would have mounted it differently if I had known that I would end up with it.
The client was a student studying pesticide contamination on a Science Foundation grant and he was allowed to bring back as many penguins as he could find dead. He ended up with 4 and he couldn't pay for all 4 of them so I traded him one in order to keep one for myself. I just wish he hadn't wanted all of them free-standing. I have tried to anchor it to a snow scene but it's going to be a lot of trouble and I keep putting it off. (For over 27 years, and counting!)
