Very nice! ^^ Truly a beautiful piece. You've got a good balance of color there, too- nothing is overly garish or out of sorts.

Thank you both!
It took me a few hours, not too long. I was really into it!
I tried to incorperate the natural colour of the bone, un-bleached, and not completely paint over it. (:
I was inspired by the "Day of the dead" painted skulls.

Now that you mention it and on second look, I can see some Cinco de Mayo influence..
very cool. The natural bone color really works for it, too.
Have you considered a matte sealant spray for it? It'll keep the acrylic from going yucky on you in a couple years. (Acrylic has a weird habit of flaking on 'odd' surfaces.)

That won't make it shine will it?
I work at a craft store, so I'm sure I can get some. XD

Nope.
It's a sealant, but "matte" is the term for "not shiny". "Gloss" is the term for shiny. x3 Shiny skulls would confuse the (!@#^ out of me, but hey. XD So yeah- look for a 'matte finish' spray or something if you want nonshiny skulls.
Actually now that I think about it, I wonder if bones -not- degreased prior would affect the sealant later on. [hmm]

uv protective acrylic spray, we sell it at the fine art store i work in, comes in matte and glossy finishes. acrylic never really binds to that kind of surface so a finish of some sort is an excellent idea. nice work!
