Glen Conley is right about the laminitis, in deer also know as Aladdin's slippers. We had the same problem with our deer one year when they overfed on acorns, the overdose of starch from the acorns (or any extremely rich food) will cause the laminitis, just as it can in horses when they get uncontrolled access to food pellets, etc.

Not sure what to call this one other than weird looking. I hope it qualifies as a dork deer.

I have a doe cape where I just noticed something odd. It has one small perfectly round cowlick on the outside of each armpit, and they are in the same place on each side. I'll have to get a pic once mounted up
