Hard to believe in less than two months we will be kicking off the 28th Annual Michigan Taxidermist Convention and Competition in Grand Rapids and welcoming our 1st Michigan Taxidermist Fish Carving Competition.

All judges are confirmed for this year and we have a great group of people taking on the task of judging the hundreds of pieces that make it to our show each and every year.

Here is our line up of Judges for 2010.

Masters/Professional:
Whitetails:   Bill Yox (returning Judge) & Mike Rohanna (new this year)
Mammals/Gameheads:  Manny Chavez (new this year)
Fish:  Gary Bruch (returning Judge)
Birds:  Glen Browning (returning Judge)
Habitat:  Terry Weick

Novice/Youth:
Whitetails:  Ken Onken/Doug Alberda
Mammals:  Doug Veldhuis/Dennis Harris
Fish:  Paul Borkowski/Randy Budzynski
Birds:  Duncan Price/Charlie Walker
Habitat:  Terry Weick

We have so many great seminars included for this year - Including the Hands On Seminar with Mike Rohanna (by reservation only).  Our all day seminar on Thursday will be with Rick Krane as this true artist shows you how to mount fish from A-Z while showing you how to carve fish bodies and how to interpret fish anatomy.

We have a great line up of talented taxidermists willing to come out and share their secrets and techniques.  Come out and be a part of the fun and festivities of our annual show.

We have lots of great events set up for our four day extravaganza and we look forward to showing you all a really great time.

Convention packets will be available for pick up at the Winter Membership Meeting and other packets will be mailed out by the 1st of February.

If you need assistance please check out our website at www.michigantaxidermist.com for a list of officers and board of directors that can answer your questions.

See you all in March!!!!!!!!

Scott & Dawn
