The only neck mount I have ever done (and will probably the only one) was for a good customer's 10yr old daughter.  It was her very first deer, a doe, and she wanted a mount plus the full hide tanned.  I said sure I can do them both.  2 for 1.  Same price as a regular shoulder mount plus the full tan.  That little girl LOVES that mount!  She has it on display every year at our town's annual "big buck" show.  This family brings me 2-3 mounts a year since then, so pretty sure it hasn't hurt my business.  Wink  But I will not do a buck neck mount.

Then my comments on Krotann are done. Alum was, is, and has always been my only concern. I understand, too well, about cut throat businesses and proprietary chemicals.

do a neck mount and stick it on a back board like they did mostly in the early days 1940-1960's charge same for it as shoulder mount, just about or more work to do anyway.
