Most of my catalogs are somewhat dated and I know many folks on this forum have gotten into creating some fabulous blanks but do not "advertise" that much (I can understand that)

Am seeking a good blank for a blue cat;  44-45 inches long and 35 inch plus girth - yes - a REAL pot belly.  My young grandson caught it yesterday and I wanted to do a blank for him for Xmas. (I was with him & his dad and did the measurements)

The measurements are not absolutely critical (as we have discussed here before) but I do want to get close and definitely one w/ a pot belly.

If any of y'all can recommend a potential supplier I sure would appreciate it - thinner (even semi- transpar) fins and mouth detail would be great but I'll work w/ what I can get.

Thanks all very much - PM or post here is appreciated; hopefully a pic can also be provided.

Randy

bevs fish creations has a decent one. fins are thick which is ok by me. It took me a while, but I have seen how better that can sometimes be(esp with kids)...mouth detail needs work... seam is sunk in some along the belly(easy fix...side detail is great. Here it is as I finished it.

...I think it is 44x34 or about

Thanks JA - I had asked Bev for a pic but I suppose she has apparently been pretty busy..........

For a big inventory I realize it can be a pain for the supplier but pics of blanks are truly a selling point - to me anyway.  Different fish sometimes have different characteristice and being able to see the poses helps a purchase decision greatly to be a bit more responsive to a customer.

Your pic is appreciated - pretty well represents the fish.  I have used her before - know the mouth needs "work"

Thanks all.

"Thick" is relative w/ a beast this size !?!?!?!?

Am still very open to any other options/potential suppliers.  Noticed Mike @ New Wave has a large one on web page so I sent Jenn a quick note.

Thick in this case was edges. bases were fine. edges where 1/8 thick . But as said easy as it gets to fix.

And that was only on the paired fins that were thick. Tail, vent and dorsal fins were fine. It was a great Blank for the price> Make that super for the price.
