rainbow trout skin mount, carved form with artificial head

When my brother in law caught this fish it broke the net.. so I mounted it in the broken net - I added some polished rocks in the net too but you can't see them very good in the photo..

Lots of nice fish this week again, and the last several weeks, too!

Chad, I really like the look that your Rainbow has (in the photo that looks like it was taken outside) that Rick posted.  Doug, the walleyes you posted are verrrrrry nice (as usual).  Josh, the hybrid/stripe and the redhorse are extremely fishy looking - you pulled off so many different effects on those - they are truly textbook examples of advanced fish painting.

Here is another recently finished ocean-caught Chinook Salmon skin mount, 45+ inches and 55 pounds:

Doug, I don't know if the one I have is a true albino. The eyes are the color of a gold or tan and the wiskers and fins are methiolate. I don't know what it would be called. I am using a lake country channel cat replica to reproudce it. I haven't use one from lake country yet, I look forward to getting on this project.

Something a little different. This is a wood carving caricature musky done by my friend Gary Cichy. Gary won a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Best of Category in the last World show Intermmediate division. This is one piece of many caricatures he's done.  Titled  "Stuffed to the Gills".  Hope you like it.

Randy and Doug, thanks for the nice words about the salmon.  Smiley

Doug, that is undeniably one of the coolest fish caricatures I have seen!  I can't help but smile when I look at it.......it sure would be neat to see some more of Gary's caricatures he's done.  Cool
