Van dykes have some in 10 and 12 mm round pupil for coon that would work for a squirrel as long as the size is right . And they also have some listed with there bird eyes ,They are listed as type 1 eyes 4 - 16 mm that would work also .

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

The best Squirrel eyes I have ever used were Wayne Cooper's Flex Eyes.  The eyes have oval pupils and his Albino Squirrel eyes were dead on!  If you can contact him, and he is still making them, I'm sure you can buy a pair.

This is a pair I used in this Blonde Gray Squirrel that had red or Albino type eyes.

I'd gotten a pair of clear pink/red pieces from the dollar store lol
They worked great so I'll put up a pic soon, used them for an albino mink

Okay, but the big difference with these eyes is that they actually have a pupil!  And unless you use an actual eye made for the subject then it is no different than making a toy.  And this isn't toy-making ... it's Taxidermy. Wink Grin

Here is the same Squirrel mount, only showing the eye in profile.  I had to darken the image some so the pupil would show itself as different from the overall eye.

The pupil in these Wayne Cooper Flex Eyes are very reflective and are unbelievably realistic!  They are the only non-glass eyes that I have used and can recommend!

rose you can take those red plastic eyes and either cut out a pupil and glue it on the back or if you have a steady hand, drill or dremel out pupil in the back........john I caught a live blond sq here and obseved it before putting it down and eyes were a light brown/hazel....yours look nice though...

I always turn and line the ears of all my mammals!  This one had some freezer burn issues -- the client kept it in the freezer, not wrapped well, for a few years and forgot about it -- and I did the best I could with her.
