I got a call from the brother of the guy I did the first wall pedestal of the year for last night, says he has shot a once in a lifetime deer because of it's uniqueness (he's only 23 Cheesy LOL) he wants a "different" kind of mount.  I have been doing their deer for a couple of years now & I give then a price, tell them to trust me & they usually go for it.  In return I go "above the norm" for them. I came in today after listening to his description of the deer and put together what I think would look good Wink  Anyways, he calls back a few hours ago to say he's on his way.  I already have made up his job ticket for a pesdestal shoulder mount and the cheapest I could crunch the numbers to do it the way I want is $838.94.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, this mount I have planned is simple but SMOKIN!  I hope he goes for it, will find out in an hour or 2


Well, here he is!  Settled on a price of $757.75 Smiley  Gonna make a hell of a pedestal shoulder mount!

Gonna take some unique clay work to make this eye original




This is the only hint I will give about the pedestal job I am going to do.....God Bless Robert Martinez & his driftwood! Cheesy LOL




About 1 minute after they walked out I got this kitty in for a lifesize.......great end to a Monday!

I could get excited about ANY call to do a deer. This is the slowest I have seen it in 17 years.

I can't say its slow.. I would liketo get a few things in besides Bears... took 2 more in yesterday during the game... I think people are freezing things and waiting patiently to see how things pan out.. jobs, Money, Houses, etc....

Usually I get em in fresh or partly salted.. I got one already tanned.. (horrible tan btw), and the other the guy just wants tanned for a throw or something..
