I got 5 Beaver tails to do something with.  I have done a lot of reading in the archives and haven't found to much on the process of skinning, preserving and tanning them.  I understand that you have to be very careful skinning them, but when you flesh one do you have to take ALL the fat off down to the actual tail? And what do you put in them do give the tail its original shape?

MAKE A MOLD OF THE TAILS AND CAST THEM. EASIEST WAY, JMO

I make a mold using #1 molding plaster, and pour 501 Latex in the mold then you can foam it in the mold or continue to top of with latex. Do not take out of mold till completely full of something or it will colapse.
