I know there are 6 billion krowtann questions posted and I hate to add another, but I couldn't find what I was looking for in the archives.  Here goes... I tanned a little spotted skunk with krowtann last week (stayed in 4 days) and when I got in out and neutralized there was a spot in the middle that is dark and just feels raw. no smell no slippage yet, it just feels and looks odd.  I will say I degreased in super solvent, turned the cape everyday as instructed, but it's been pretty cool in the shop around 45-50 degrees.  Is it possible the weight of the filled milk jug flattened the skin and prevented the tan from getting to that spot? Too cold?  I thought I fleshed the little stinker pretty well, no red meat or fatty spots.  Is it OK to put it back in the krowtann for a little longer?  Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill Huh  Thanks!

A fold or possibly your jug prevented contact with the solution, redo it that spot is raw & waiting to rot.
