could the eyes just be pinned into place until dry?cuz there is sooo little skin on the eye lid on a squirrel i dnt know if i should try to split

just do it! Are you going to mess it up the first time? Probably....... Will you still put a hole in one after you have done 100 times..... yeah probably once in awhile.... either way they SHOULD be split just Depends on if you want to trim the inner skin off for lay or leave it for tucking. I over fill the form area a little bit with clay then the skin flaps out and insert the eyes after I have the skin on. It rolls the skin in as I insert and I work any extra clay around through the skin.
