No comparison in the finished product - Carolina is better HANDS DOWN, and they're not taking work away from the taxidermist.

I can't understand why a taxidermist would continue to send anything to The Wildlife Gallery after what's happened.

You guys can send your work to Carolina but I'm not waiting seven months for deer capes to be returned. They ought to hire some more shavers if they can't get the work out faster than that horrible turnaround time.

There are nitches in every market where money can be made. I love reading about the what businesses are doing causing them to lose customers. What better advice can you get to apply to your own business?! That sounds like a great idea and selling point to Canadian outfitters to go and retrieve the animals. That's innovative. Shrewd? Maybe, but clever. I don't like what I've learned about them importing the hides at the expense of another dermist. That's innapropriate and will catch up with them somehow. Be it a lawsuit or just plain loss of business due to wprd of mouth. I will be in the market for a different tannery with a comparable turnaround time. Maybe I'll just go drive truck for them and deliver all of the hides to you guys. And tell em they got lost! JK!;-)

I don`t believe this is about the stealing of a large mass of clients, there ethical practices have only effected a small percentage of Taxidermists. The real issue is will we roll over and take it, or make a stand. I`am sure WG has never taken one client from me, but, I believe that had they the opportunity, they most certainly would have given there best shot. I do not agree with there "mission statement" and I can and will do something about it. I will no longer use them or there sister tannery as one of my tanneries!

Why make their sister tannery suffer BDrake? Its not the employees fault that the WG bought them out.

There's no such thing as a sister company, it's the same business, just done out of a different building.

Then what about walmart? Some people dislike walmart for whatever reason and refuse to shop there, should they go ahead and support them for the sake of the employees? No one shoulld ever strike or boycott a company?
Maybe the employees should start there own/new tannery. It would be successful.

I hope nobody thinks that WG is the only tannery that is doing taxidermy also. if you go to the suppliers page and look at tanneries you will find others that are doing taxidermy as well. I do not know if they are calling customers of taxidermist to solicit work from them. I would hope not as I use one of them. As far as WG I will not be using them for this reason in the future whether it is true or not just prefer not to take a chance.

How many of YOUR customers want to pay the rush costs on a routine basis?
