Swampfox, have you ever seen Jack Hardendorfs (Apulia Station) paper forms? Theyre as accurate as almost any foam form, hes really something. I gotta get back in touch with him, as a matter of fact...

Got a pic of one Bill ?  That would prove you have a secret stash. LOL.  Seriously, I don't think I have seen Jack Hardendorfs forms.  Actually, after my initial encounter with paper, I got busy with my military life moving hither, and fro.  When I picked it up again foam was the rage.

Bill,I know where there is a PILE of the paper forms. I was at an old taxidermy shop right here in Holmes County and the family was wanting to sell the whole pile of forms which included paper & foam, old foam mannikins. The old taxi had passed away & the family was wanting to sell everything at once. I mean the pile of forms was 10' high & atleast 25' wide, I couldn't guess how many was in the pile. Maybe when you are here judging this year and you still want some paper forms, I can take you for a drive & visit this place.

Bill, I am sure they will be there. The old taxi passed away years ago & the family still has them. We were contacted to see if we could sell them at the Ohio show and we just didn't think we could sell all of them. So unless they burned them, I would say they are still there.

With the mention of "paper forms", the word "excitement" never would enter my mind.  LMAO.

Bill, I went to Hardendorfs place last year when he was trying to sell it, I only live 15 minutes from him. A lot of history there, even though it was run down A LOT! He had a pile of old molds sitting in his driveway, to bad I couldn't have gotten some of them. Paul Bolton up in Canastota got a lot of his stuff Jack told me.. I went by his place 3 weeks ago and it looks like he found a buyer...

Bill let me know if Bob still makes them in paper, i would like to do one, and if Jacks are still available its easy to make a mold for them if he wouldn't mind? I think it would be a good category at competitions!

Steve, you're right.  Over the years I've found the people "excited" most were never actual participants in the things they're excited over.  I can look at a scythe, a thresher, a sickle mower, an adz, even a butter churn and get flashbacks to the austere life that went along with them. Those that never knew that drudgery look at them with starlit eyes in finding "jewels" of a life long past.
