Help finishing rattlesnake grips

Hey folks, I need a bit of advice on making a set of rattlesnake pistol grips. As far as tanning goes, I'm in good shape. That part is taken care of. Now I need to apply the skin to a set of wood grips. I have two questions, both of which are noobie, on what products to use. Please keep in mind that I live in rural GA and that limits me to either Lowes or Walmart.
*What type of glue should I use to attach the skin to the wood? The best thing I've seen so far is a super glue with time control that will allow me a few seconds longer to get everything in place and move my fingers out of the way. Do you think that would be ok?
*What should I seal them with? Took a walk down the spray paint isle and here are my choices: polyurethane, lacquer, shellac, or clear coat paint. I would like something strong so it will not crumble due to the recoil from a firearm and not too slick either. Also, not super shiny as this is going on a parkerized 1911. What would you all suggest?
I really appreciate you all taking the time to help this ole noob.
