I would like to learn how to mount pheasant with original head. Bought the tony Finazzo mounting Birds tape, but only showed me artificial head mounts.  Is there a tutorial out there that shows this?  I looked through tutorials and didn't find much.
Thanks   Jim

I skin the heads out the same way. I take out any and all meat, plus the eyes and brain. When I get done with them there is nothing to it but the top of the skull, and the beak. Just try not to cut the tendons holding the top and bottom beak. Put lots of borax on it, and then I rebuild the head with either the plumbers putty or bondo (Both go off pretty fast). For a neck wire I take a wire and bend a small "U" in it and jam it in the skull before the bondo goes off.
Then just super glue the head in like Tony does in the video.
