To me, as far as difficulty, they are the same. Its a deer head. The muley takes me a little longer because they seem to be a little more finicky in the finish department. The hair doesn't lay down as nice. All the whitetails I do seem to just go together. I spend more time grooming a muley. I do 90% muleys and can't wait for day I get to do a whitetail. Maybe just me though. Just use the reference like anything else

I agree, but I don't do but a handfull of muleys compared to wts. Wts have always been easier to groom than muleys, I have never had a mulie that was easy to finish up. Hair around the throat and upper neck has alot of loft to it.

The older I get, the better I was.

Muley's always take me longer because I enjoy "playing" with them giving them "attitude" and Roman noses, etc. Still, they're no different , just bigger ears.
