I've gotten 7 more this week (2 elk, 2 Axis, 3 whitetail) and 5 last week 3 Axis 2 whitetail).  Hell, I ussually don't get but 20-25 per season.

1 elk, and that's one more than usual. I do a few full flats, but not many calls for 1/2 of a hide.

I have been in biz for 15 years and never had anyone want a backhide. They are always alot more interested in what's attached to the front half. LOL

  Nope, a single back hide yet this year. I usually get a few. But none so far this year. Processing is down. But mounts are up. Fine with me. Oh but I finally did get a euro. On a 170 or better class buck . Old guy about 70. Guess he didn't figure he'd be around long enough to appreciate a mount.

lots of back skins and buck skins this year. Money is tight this year. plus a fellow in town is doing $35.00 bleached skulls. Have a good number of people whom are finacially better off that are putting large racks from a few years back on this years kill.

They probably figure that once Maobama is done with his plans for this country, they'll need to skins to stay warm under while living in their government issue FEMA trailer with no heat.

My flats are up some also.

No back 1/2's, clients go out and shoot a doe and get the full hide for tan.
