open mouth interiors:      this can be used for several species of mammals,,,,, but I will tailor this to a bear :

Flesh-base coat to gums lips  papillia

mars red-  to darken and tone the flesh colors,  angle spray to catch details like the tendon that runs from the middle of the front gums onto the back of the lower lip..

Cocoa brown_  is lightly misted to dirty up the flesh mars red areas  then transition to a heavier coat on the outside lower lip skin

Dark brown-   is then misted from the cocoa brown down to and into the hair patterns below the lower lip..

So you have transitioned the flesh / mars red interiors into cocoa brown into dark brown on the lower outsides of the lips.  You have left traces of color onto the lower front lip so that just a hint of mard red can be detected......

On some black bears  you may have to start out with white as a base coat  as some have very light mouths.  this is just an average look.....

I've been struggling with the inside of the mouth on two bear rugs and three other OM mounts. Been experimenting with different color combonations and order of application. They all look different and I'm not REAL happy with any of them. This is just what I needed. I'm trying this next. Thank you Ron!!!
