you guys having the same problem. Were limiting out here in under an hour(Long Island, NY) and they still just keep coming and coming. I cant wait till Nov 25 when our regular duck season opens then we can stay and have fun. Man i just aint never seen so damn many. Most are looking really prime too. Nice long tails on the squaw. Black scoters even showed up here in good numbers.

Those black scoters are pretty unique. I like their textured head feathers.
(People who have never studied one think I'm nuts when I say that. I don't think I've ever seen a photo that was close and sharp enough to show it.)

I know what you mean Nancy. They have irridescent colors not noticeable from a distance too. They are VERY cool birds. A little different than the other scoters.

to all that pmed me and i did not reply to you im not being rude but im standing firm on my words. IM DONE GIFTING. so please stop asking me for birds. after all the bs i delt with last year im done. this year my dogs will be eating alot of boiled scoter and oldsquaw breast meat and the coons and foxes will be eating the rest.
