helllo everyone. got a question. is it possible to mount a llama?? where would i find a mannikin for this??? or is there even a mannikin available?Huh  any information would be great as im just starting to research the llama issue. thanks!

Yes You can.. You will probably have to make the form... I've pondered it but haven't found the time yet..

Save the skull and as much of the neck and shoulders as you can if you want to carve or cast it.

Look in the exotic and african forms.. You will find someone has something close that may need a bit of alteration. not a big deal.

If you want to go the altering route... A Gerenuk might be a good start...

hmm ok thanks for the info thus far! a Gerenuk -- that defintaly sounds like a place to start. im kinda hesitant in making my own tho, basically cuz i dont know much about a llama.  looks like this project would be difficult lol

Gerenuk are nowhere near the size of a llama.. Only thing in common between the two species is the elongated neck!

Well I was thinking for a shoulder mount... not a Lifesize.  That scrawny neck could be altered easily to fit a llama's, shoulders enlarged with a cast head. A young llama probably wouldn't need altering in the neck except for lenght and pose.

ya ya i understand and like the long neck concept of the gerenuk. that really might be my only option. i just dont have much experience in making my own forms lol. i sure do appreciate all the input
