Whats the correct way to do this ? I have seen injections fluids and rubs what your options

This is just MY opinion, you HAVE to remove the blood between the velvet and the antler, rub on or brush on tans CANNOT do this, injection is best. If you choose to do this you need to do this outside with the use of a respirator (especially if you use formaldehyde)
Freeze drying works if the antlers are past the point of injection, but I wouldn't trust anything that you just rub or brush on the outside.

I prick the tips of the antlers with a needle and take a needle and inject the veins with salt water till they run clear. Then you can inject velvet tan in them and let them dry. Just make sure you hit all the veins. It will take a while to do this.
