Black Bear Rug Pricing

In checking what some are charging for bear rugs, I have seen ranges form $150/ft to  over $200 /ft . I assume this is with rug shell head mounted . I'm sure open mouth would be $150-$200 more. What would most of you be charging for say a 5ft black bear rug w/ open mouth and double felt border sewed? I send all mine out for the rug work as I'm sure most of you do also.  I know someone is going to advise me to calculate overhead/ profit margin, ect. but I'm really hoping to just get an idea what the industry average is. Thanks.

i charge 150 for a tan, then an extra 50% of that price for stratch and felt, also 150 extra for an open mouth rug.   there ya go     $375  BBAAAMMMM

In our studio... $175.00 a foot... times 5 is  $875.00.. includes OM or CM.. completed rug..

$175. per ft here retail.
I also do wholesale rugging.

$170 per foot. that 5 foot bear would be $850. Open mouth is included with the price.

$195 per foot here. I do all but the actual rugging and that goes out to Northern Pines.

I did a rug last year with open mouth 2 layers of felt with d rings and charged 1,200.00

I just got 2 back from Wildlife Gallery and Rug B Bears.  You ship to WG and rugB picks it up there and rugs it and sends it back.  When all was said and done with shipping and all, I had $11 per inch in the rugs.  I probably had 3 hours each in the fleshing, skinning the feet, salting and drying.

I have a set price, $1500.00 a rug doesn't matter what size. Rug shell , open mouth, Rugging.
I have gotten more bears than anything.
