Okay... I've seen a few tutorials on here for posting pictures, but I still see people having trouble posting their images!
Most of the tutorials I've seen on here use Photobucket... I find photobucket annoying, and difficult to use personally.

Here, I will give you a step by step picture guided tutorial on how to post your pictures using Tinypic.com

STEP 1
Save your picture somewhere in your computer, where you can find it, and with a good name!

We'll use my image of a 'painted cat' for this tutorial.

STEP 2
Go to www.tinypic.com

NOTE: You are not required to sign up to use Tinypic!  (:

STEP 3
Click the 'Browse' button

STEP 4
Find your picture in your folders, and double click it

STEP 5
Once you have clicked your image, the box near the brose button should have some text in it, that shows the location of the file.
Now, all you have to do, is click the bit green 'upload' button.

STEP 6
Now your file is on the internet, and you can post it on the forum here!
All you have to do for that, is copy the text in the box that says, 'Image code for Forums & Message boards'. Clicking inside of the box once, should highlight all of the text. Then you cna rght mouse click, and select 'copy' or press ctrl+C on your keyboard to copy the text.

STEP 7
Post your picture on the forum!
Once you have that text code copied, you can paste it on your forum post, wherever you want it, and the image will show up, just like this!

STEP 8
If you want to upload another image, just press the 'upload more' button, and it will start the process over again! (:

I hope this helps alot of people to post images using something other than photobucket. Tinypic images don't go innactive either, so you don't have to worry about signing into yo your account to keep your images up on the forum.

Thanks for looking!

Good to see an alternative to photo bucket, but the process is identical from what I can tell, ( apart from signing up) , I am not sure what you mean about having to "keep signing in or you lose the pictures " on photo bucket. If you delete your photo bucket picture, then it will disappear from other places, (if thats what you mean,) is Tinypics not like that ? can you delete photos but they stay in other places ?

I think most problems are arising because people click the insert image button, they then end up with two sets of [img] [img]

What i mean is, if your photobucket account in innactive for a certain number of days, all of your pictures turn into little icons that say, "Your account has been innactive for such-and-such-days" :P

As far as I can tell, pictures either never get deleted from Tinypic, or it takes a LOOOOONG time. :P

Hmm, it may be different over here, I have never had that problem with photo bucket, even after months of not logging in. I have never lost any pictures. but I may check out Tinypic.

Many thanks Rhasputin for your very informative post, from a totally inept pc user who only managed to get on this forum last year with the help of my ever so clever grandson.
Even I understood this, (HOPEFULLY), wishing you well, stargazer644.

Thanks for the great post.  Very easy!  Tried photo bucket once, but just got frustrated with it.  Could have been my old computer though, more than anything... LOL  I am excited to be in the "posting pics" game now.  Thanks again.  -Rich
