NO I'm NOT trying to krowtann a PERSON
My dad just ran over Peter and I'm wondering if I could put him in krowtann WHOLE for a day or two to toughen up the skin before I skin him

I've heard of people doing that in a pickle. Don't know about Krowtan.
Generally speaking you are not going to get much penetration of anything from the fur side.
However, in a day or two you will have substantial bacteria growth from the inside.
Floating it would have the benefit of instant contact to the flesh side of the hide AS you are skinning it TODAY, but a pickle would be a lot cheaper since you will surely foul the bath with blood and guts.
Maybe a roadkill rabbit isn't worth your time today, but it will surely not be worth anything in a day or two.

Well after almost a year I finally tried this,LOL
don't know if it was the careful skinning or the Krowtann but no rips
(other than the 3" broadhead hole
)
