I have used krowtann in the past I like it period. So that's not my question.

Unfortunately my grandma fell tonight and broke her arm and femur and I was just finishing up a hide in krowtann, when I got the call and rushed out the door. I had done all the steps except it was draining and I was about to do my final fleshing. So I took the wet cape and threw it in the bag and back in the freezer it went, anyone see any problems with me thawing and final flesing tom morn?

You will have no problem at all. I use krowtann and have done exactly that and have had no problems. Hope your grandmother will be O.K.

You Krowtann guys crack me up.  This product has been on the market for 5 years now touted as the "simplest" product ever made for taxidermists.  I guess it should read that it's a product made for "simple taxidermists".  In 50 years, I've NEVER seen half the issues addressed to this one product on anything else we use in taxidermy.  IT'S A DAMNED PICKLE. IT'S SAFE UNTILYOU NEUTRALIZE IT.  WHEN YOU NEUTRALIZE IT  YOU NEED TO WORK IT.

George may I ask what problems there is from freezing at that point and working it later?   I have a piece that I broke as it dried so it's soft.  I have re-hydrated and re-dried it several times just to see how it would hold up,  it's holding up fine.

There should be a Krowtann website complete w/ forums and instant Krow-chat. You guys could ask questions all day long, and chat about all the money and time you saved, and all the rotten capes you rescued.

Harley, you could be a moderator, and also head up the Q & A section. If George tries stirring the pot over there on Krow-chat you can ban him.

LOL I almost didn't even ask this one, I love to watch the differences in opinions on this product. All I can say is it seems to work nice for me. It was a extra cape from a guy that had a euro done this year so no great lose if it was to go bad but I wasn't going to not go and see her. I had it neutralized and washed so I'm glad to hear some of you guys have the done the same exact thing freeze and then do the final fleshing later, I just had not ever had to before.

Thanks for all the best wishes, shes a tough gal and if I know her right she will be chasing around her great grand kids again in no time.

Thanks again for the advice and all the best wishes.
