Anyone have an idea the cost and what to charge for a snake this size? Its 14 ft long, weighs around 60 lbs, per the owners scale..
Its currently frozen whole so Ill have the actual body to carcast cast or use for measurements if carved..
What is a better tan for it, wet or dry? IM thinking wet just because that is my prefered method and to me seems like a better method for snakes but then again I dont normally do snakes for clients.. .. Yes it will going to a tannery I wouldnt even want to attempt to tan this in house LOL
If you have any pictures of big snakes youve done Id love to see them.
He also has another he is planning on doing when it dies.. its currently weighing in at 120lbs.. BIG buggers for sure LOL.

Rae, there are a number of weays to mount it. You can use the method I use in my DVD or you can carve the body. As for tanning, it will have to be wqet tanned. You will never rehydrate a dry tanned snake to be what you want to mount it. You can easily tan it yourself using Rittels KT-10 kwick tan. Its a salt water and vinegar pickle, then add the tan for the last 24 hours. Can easilt be done in a small cooler of 5 gallon bucket. You can call me if you have any problems 603-783-4861. As far as charging, I would charge at least 1500.00 to 2000.00 fot it depending on pose. Go to page 2 of the reptile section and look for the post titled
Burnese Pythons, it will show you the results using my method.
