Here are the pictures I took today after all awards were given out. I actualy feel that I am coming along well with this taxidermy stuff as I picked all of the taxidermist choice winners correctly except the fish....that was a tough call though as there were at least 3 or 4 fish I felt could be in the running. Maybe someone can fill in the taxidermists names on these cause I am terrible at remembering names

Thanks  guys for your participation and support. We just got home and found the warning light on on the walk in freezer. Everything's half to fully thawed. Must have went out right when we left. Internet's down as well. I'm on the wife's mini laptop. Kind of makes the weekend bitter sweet It's after midnight now and all I can do is wait for daylight to do anything. Tomorrow morning I need about 10 guys to prep and salt capes. Gonna be interesting at least. Maybe the local processor will have some freezer space. Appreciate it if you guys think about me. Again, thanks to all for making a great 2010 Montana Show.

By the way Patrick, MOGA and the trappers' asso. came at our invitation. We thought it would be a great place for us to support them and for them to get their message out. Thanks for supporting them.

Paul, if I didn't have to run to the airport to pick up Tom Voyer today I would be there to give you a hand.  It was great to meet you and I look forward to helping out more in the future.  Thank you for all of your hard work.

This is the second year the UTA has been included in the Montana show.  What a great show.  Thanks to the Board and all those that pitched in to make the event great.  The venue was well organized and the competition areas well designed to afford easy view of the many excellent entries.  Of special note were the many smiling faces at the registration desk and  in every place there may be a question.  We often overlook the behind the scenes work and the many Montana volunteers did a stellar job.  The vendor area was again impressive with numerous crafts present including everything from antler reproductions to shipping and packing companies, from knife and cutlery folks to Skull cleaning, from tanneries to skin sales and furniture sales.  Not only was the vendor area well attended but there were also representatives from shipping firms, insurance companies, and various allied groups showing support to include the NRA, SCI, Montana Bow Hunters ,Trappers association flat artists and others  Truly representative of a cross section of those we serve and those who support us.  Of course, one of the best things about the show was the chance to make new friends and in this case their personal support groups - wives and kids.  Watching those kids eyes light up when caught with their hand in the UTA candy jar was priceless.  I also got the put a face to some Taxi-netters and enjoyed that as well.  Thanks Montana for a great show.   The UTA signed new members and new businesses and for that we are truly grateful.  We hope to  continue to support you and your endeavors in the future.  Thanks again.

It was good to sit and visit with you awhile Craig. Thanks much for the kind words here and also at the show. But especially for the kind words about our wives efforts. You're a class act! It does take a great support group to make it all come together. Look forward to working with the UTA more in the future and I believe will see you personally in about a week and a half.

I think I'll be in good shape. Spent the morning hauling stuff to the local processor's freezer and spread it out to put the quick freeze to it all. There was still ice in a fair bit of it. Lunch time now and I need a nap. Thanks for the offer to help.

Hey all,
Thanks again for the great weekend. We made it home safely and getting back into Canada only took three minutes! Our new born fell asleep just outside Helena and only woke up once and with a 50mph tail wind we decided to go straight home,we walked in the door at 1:30am Monday. To our surprise though there was a message on the answering machine from the Montana Outfitters saying my wifes' name was drawn for the fishing trip on the Yellowstone River, what and end to an already great trip!So we have to plan that for this summer and maybe I will stop in an see some of you when we come back down. Thanks again to all who made this a great trip.Sorry to hear about your freezer Paul, good thing you caught it.
