I need to do a bird scene for a client that involves chuncks of flat cracked ice. Does anyone know if they make plexiglass like that? I thought i had seen something on here a long time ago, but just looked at a bunch of plexi dealers, and did'nt come up with anything. Or is there a way i could get the crackling effect myself? I coming up blank on this one.. Undecided

I'm not sure what type of cracks your looking for but I know if you put plexiglass in acetone before it dissolves it cracks so that its covered with tons of small cracks kind like when you break a side window on a car.

scott, if your looking for chunks of ice you can simply take a pair of linemans pliers and break pieces of thin plexi and place it where you want it in your base.then just pour your artificial water over it to blend it in.other cool ice can be made with clear siran(sp?) wrap and lay it out on a table and pour artificial water on it.when it sets it can be trimmed ect to fit your needs.again, if things dont blend right add more water.
