Looks pretty good. In the picture it looks like you may have used eyes a size too small. Huh  Overall a nice mount though. Wink

Perry, in the second pic the eyes look to be the right size, I think they are just set too far forward. Huh

What did you mount it on? The skin looks over stretched so the scales are separated on it, and it looks like there is a wire sticking down right behind the head.
Also, I'm not trying to sound like a prick, but why would your first snake mount be for a customer?

I am not familiar at all with these snakes, my only  meagre experience of them here in the UK being American westerns Cheesy, but you seem to have captured the deadly menace and coiled up aggression of that 'rattler' perfectly. Can I ask what you mounted the skin on. It's a very eye-catching piece. Wishing you well, stargazer644

First where at in PA did he/she come from?  Second did the guy have a permit?  Cause ya can only take males kinda determined by counting subscaduals..  Most i can see on it is 18.. males have 21+... Not that i care but an fyi..
Ive only done a few but from what i can see...skin needed to be pulled a lil closer on his left eye..  something seems strange about the transiition from head into upper portion of neck..?  you went a lil to big on the form cause the scales are gapped quite a bit quite a bit in the midsection.. What gloss did you use?  I shmucked up on my first one and went way to glossy.. light matte finish seems to work best for me anyway..  For a first though.. nice work:)

Not to be a prick, but a lot of my firsts have been for customers. You can't practice every species before trying customer work. If someone brings me a Cape Buffalo tomorrow am I supposed to order a couple extras to practice on first? I've never mounted a snake, but if a customer brings one in I think I could probably handle it. That's my take on the issue.
