John,
This coming from you means a lot to me as we all know you do top notch work as well. I've learned a lot from this site and feel it is only right that information and tutorials need to be shared with the ones that are trying to learn this fine art. I feel we can all contribute in some way to make us all as a whole be the best we can be.I always told myself that as soon as I felt comfortable and had something to share that I would do it without hesitation. I can't thank you enough for all the help you have given me over the years.
Thanks for looking John and thanks for the words of encouragement!

I love it! I have a bobcat that I did for my dad but he hasn't come up with a base he wants. He'll be a perfect candidate to try this out on!

What color would be good to use instead of the black paint mixture say some color of brown for a african mount to go on ? any idea?

Hi,
In answering your question I believe one could use about any shade one would want. I would suggest that u make up a small rock and try it with different shades and see what works for you. I don't see a reason why it coudln't be used on any type habitat.
Thanks for looking,
Lance!

Nice job! Been using the same method on mine for a couple of years now. Easy as 1,2,3, and customers love it!
