The Week in Fish Pictures~ Week #20 Feb 16 2007- Feb 22 2007 

Good Day from New Hampshire!

Week # 20 is upon us. Thanks to everyone who has participated last week! Well Over 2700 hits!!! WOW!!!!!! This is one of the fastest growing if not the fastest growing strings on the forum! It is because you share your talent and knowledge with others in a positive friendly manner! Folks need to see that learning is not about any thing then having fun and appreciating great work! Here’s to all of you!

Last week we had some Great Fish from a lot of giving folks who don't mind sharing and helping others with some inspiration and cool fish!

We had lots of new folks and some folks who haven’t been with us for awhile! Welcome and Welcome back! The work this past week was nothing short of breath taking and the artist who shared take a bow for your beautiful efforts!

Each week Pictures can be posted of recent work or work your proud of to show and share with your pears!
 
Everyone is welcome to post, from beginners to the advanced.

So here goes!

This week I thought I would start with Small mouth Repro.
This is the beginning of what will undoubtedly be an even better week!

This was completed several years ago but thought it might be of interest.  It's a female kelp greenling from southeast Alaska.  I molded it and cast it.  There is a thread about buying fish; well this fish was purchased at a local grocery store in Juneau.  For people who are interested in getting fish to work on, check with the meat or seafood section of your local grocery store.  Even here in Georgia I have purchased whole fish that were suitable for taxidermy(all are gutted however).

KD and Frank goods to see you guys here and thanks for the nice words! Frank a fish once in awhile would be nice too! LOL! Good to see you here both of you!

Hey Don! What an awesome Cut from the Snake River side of the family. I was so lucky and privileged this year at the NTA show to go fishing with Jim Marsico of Cody WY and I caught my first Snake rive strain I will tell you Don it look just like the one you posted! Way cool!!!!

Hey Doug sweet Small “Lime” mouth! That is a great fish and nice work as anticipated my friend!

Paul b!!!!! Now Browns are some of my personal favorites! Those are some sweet Browns! I know of another friend in MI who will love to see theses! Hi Joe! Great work Paul!!!

Jerry!!!!  What a cool fish to share! I have never seen a kelp greenling so I had to Google it! Well done on your cast and the fish is a beautiful depiction of a hen kelp greenling! Super work!!!

Great work as always everyone!!  Keep it up!  Rick, Love the smallmouth, Dougp, Nice as well.  I havent got to do a smallmouth yet, but have two of my own to do.  I keep threatening to do them, but never make it.  I need to!  Good job to all!!

I don't do many salt. fish but after seeing Bryan's beauty of a grouper I thought i would post this "oldie" of a skin mount yellowfin snapper. Probably about 14" or so...........mounted maybe 1985  Grin Grin
