Hello I live about an hour away from everything and everybody. I am wanting to learn taxidermy the closest school I can find is about 6 hours away. I would love to be able to learn somewhere around the Houston - Victoria Texas area I live between the two.

I was wondering if there were any good video set that you guys would recommend  for a newbee to get started with. Is anyone close to me giving classes.
Thanks for your help.

Read through the old forums, buy tapes and books first before dropping all kinds of money on classes. start small then work your way up big. Then take a look at classes. At that point you'll have a better idea of what is going on, and you'll be able to get more for your money. I've been a member on this site for a few months, logging on daily, even made a few things and I've still not taken one class yet. Tho I do plan to soon  Wink

Thanks for your input. Do you guys recommend any videos or books over the others? I have looked on-line and there are several different ones available.

Get Rick Carters A-Z dvd. It will explain alot of the process and answer many questions. Plus read the archives on here because I can almost promise you that the questions you have, already have been asked.
