Hmm... at this point, is it safe to say the skull is the only thing to salvage? I would be interested in the skull alone if the price is right.

Bally, I think the hide is still fine, and for sale! Don't fret! Smiley

What Leis said, yes the hide has damage, but if mounted in a certain pose (laying down), you can hide the damage very easily.  I've heard of people hiding road rash on roadkill pelts and had the animal laying down and you never know the difference.

Bally, frozen green means the hide is frozen and not tanned.

Yeap, that was the confusion.  I'm not a taxidermist, I just collect freak animals. I assumed it meant the hide had spoiled, which happened with a two-faced calf I bought off here a couple months ago.  If I did a mount, I would probably do a shoulder mount anyway, but I almost wish the thing was still intact so I could just cut the head off and stick it in a jar so as to preserve that creepy eye.

Bally, you can take the eye out, and stick it in a jar. Smiley
That would make a nice little collection. . . Skull, eye-in-a-jar, and the hide mounted.

THAT would be a nice show! Tongue
