sew from the inside of the skin using a rolling stitch and i use vanish fishing line for short hair you wont be able to see the line.keep the hair out of the stitches and take your time.

I have gotten away with super glue in the past. To be sure that it does not pull apart during the drying period, follow up with a good application of Killer Glue applied to the muzzle area of the form during mounting.

Hey it happens. Use a small needle and light invisable fishing line or colored thread and keep the hair out and sew it tight.
Good luck.

Dryer sheet and lock tight gel works for me.. Repair from the skin side, then mount up..

Super Glue gel on the smaller ones. Bird thread on the larger ones.

I tried to buy some invisible thread,, but I couldn't find any. I think sewing with mono fishing line is over rated, I find it best for me to use cotton sewing thread the same color as the hair. Mono fishing line keeps loosening up when you try to sew with it, it makes for poor thread.

Monofilament fishing line stretches and should be avoided when using for sewing thread.

Yea, its hard to get away with our old overhand and square knots when using fishing line. It always wants to come loose. Just use some tan or light brown cotton thread. I like Royal Oaks idea of the old dryer sheet and super glue. I will have to try that sometime on one of my own.

I always use Kevlar thread that I buy in the fly tying area of Bass Pro. It's used to tie super tight flies and to spin deer hair on flies.

It's super strong, natural color (light brown) and very fine. The knots hold and don't slip. I use a mortician's stitch on the face area. It pulls the 2 sides of the opening together and allows the hair to lay in a natural pattern.

Here is a picture of a nose that I had a 1.0" cut in. See if you can find it.
