Caulk as an adhesive
«

I didn't know what section to post this in. How many of y'all taxis out there use caulk as a sort of adhesive? Do you actually use the caulk gun and bottle etc...? or do you cut open and spread with hand or paint brush? I myself have been using caulk around the facial area, with the gun and bottle. I am doing some research for something I am working on and just curious as to what and how everbody else is doing it. Thanks for the input.

There are several of us that use caulk as hide adhesive. I guess you can apply it however you want, but the use of a caulking gun makes the most sense to me.

I used caulk a few times,
Cut it open and spread with spoon
Would probably be better to start off with a gun and then spread with spoon lol

Is that how you put mustard on a hot dog too?

I use caulk along with hide paste on mine.
I just squeeze it in (with the gun of coarse) and smear it around where I need it.

gun and work it around through the skin. Also on the rare occasion when I wrap a body I wrap it on the small side to make it easier to get the skin on and fill the last 1/4 inch full of caulk and shape the detail through the skin, takes forever to dry but makes one hell of a soft looking mount on a wrapped body.
