interesting, he also "quacked" a couple of times when he was sitting up there
kind of odd, but he would first extend his neck  raising his head about 1" straight up from the relaxed
lower position and then would do the "kweeek" sound while his neck was lowering down

not all how we have seen mallards quack while standing
