My 14 year-old daughter is now hooked on hunting and eager to get into the woods this Fall...and my wife has hemmed and hawed about getting involved too!

Last Fall was my daughter's first year out...she didn't score but saw plenty of deer, experienced a bit of buck fever, but had a memorable outing nonetheless!

This Fall she is determined to score!

Great story George! it does not take big horns to make it a trophy.i would be willing to bet that it is one of the best hunts that you have ever had. Tell your wife congrats from me. May her health continue to improve, so you two can have more hunts together.

That indeed was a wonderful story, George.  My prayers continue for your wife's health....

For me, and many, hunting is therapeutic, brings one closer to God and His marvelous creation, and is a wonderful get-a-way for all who participate, regardless of bagging a deer or not.  Being in the outdoors is a refreshing, almost spiritual experience for me in many regards.

Congrats to your lovely wife from my family and I as well!

Thanks for sharing this hunting story with us all George. I got choked up when I read it. This should be an inspiration to us all that complain when we have a so called bad day. What a great story and a heartfelt thanks, Mark V.

George......every once in a great while in our lives are we given such gifts as a loving spouse. You have a miracle on your arm there and I'm quite sure she feels the same way (even a curmudgeon deserves love). May God bless both of you throughout your lives together.....
