Well I got home yesterday evening and god it is nice to sleep in my own bed.  Grin Grin Grin Took me six days to collect this year what it normally takes me 2-3 days to collect. My normal colony of close to 12,000 bats was killed out by a asbestos removal company so I had to crawl caves..... Only problem was in the cave the first day I found fresh mountain lion tracks Shocked Shocked Shocked. I mean like minutes fresh and this cave was only a little wider than my shoulders and I had to bend over to walk in it. At one point you have to walk on your hands and knees to get through it. I was standing there collecting bats and looked down and had "FRESH" lion tracks between my legs......Needles to say I got the heck out of there. I did have to go back three more times to fill my orders but was very cautious and did not go real deep in the cave. I assumed since lions are so secretive that the first day it just came out far enough to see what all the noise was and then went back further in the cave. I did not go over 400' in the cave cause I do not know for sure how deep it is and did not want to crowd the lion. Here is a couple pics of the cave. Anyway will get the rattlesnakes listed this afternoon and the bobcats and grey fox and all. I am trying to get caught up on all the emails and Pm's so will try to get them all answered today as well. I normally only get bats ever couple years but picked up a new customer this year, they "might" want more (will know in 30-45 days) and if so I might be going back. so anyone interested in bats let me know and if I go back can collect yours too. Anyway everyone have a wonderful Sunday and I will try to get everything listed this afternoon.

Curious as to what you do with the bats? Are the live or dead? What is the cost?

I got some bats from TC a few years ago and they are mummified now (that's what I wanted to do with them).  Excellent specimens.  Smiley

I already collected this year and sent out all orders. I am currently working on the house I purchased and will not be going back for more bats unless something happens. it will be 2014 before I go back at this point.

Actually I am serious about the price. Do you sell them indivdually or in packages? I understand you are done for the year but I would like a couple for next year.

Kathleen, I sell them in lots of ten for $40 + shipping. That was this years price, not sure what it will be in 2014.
