Great! Let me know and I will do you one a lot better than this one. You know I can carve one here and ship pretty easy! Or if you have a tree already I can come and carve on site. Your choice, let me know!

Thanks for the generouse comments. I have been a closet chainsaw carver sence the mid 80's. Here recently I have been thinking of doing some competition before I get to old, LOL!

Thats great work,........and by looking at the location of that piece I'd say you are officially out of the closet.

Very Nice !

I don't know if this would interest you, but here is a link to the Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous in Ridgway PA.  I have a camp up there so I try to stop in and see the great work, but I can't carve.  Unless things have changed, there is no money to be won. It's not a competition, but a gathering for education and fellowship, trading techniques and tips. It is The largest of it's kind, with people coming from all across the globe on their own dime to share their knowledge.

Each artists can sell their work and at the end of the week they donate 1 piece for an auction to raise money for charity. I know in the past Make-a-Wish was a charity. I don't see one listed on the website.. If you look at the attendees, people are traveling a long way for this show. The Japanese did some really intricate work, but I don't see them listed yet.. A lot from the UK.

Good Luck with your Carving.
