I just started taxidermy and I'm looking to do more of a habitat with my mounts. I'm looking to do dirt and a few plants for a rabbit I'm going to do and was wondering how do I do the dirt to cover the base. Do I use flock? If not what exactly is flock and what do you do with it? Huh

You don't want to use flock, flock is a power substance and comes in different colors and can be use in habitats but not very often..But to answer your problem. to use dirt make sure that it is dry. First you paint your base with brown paint, next use White or Yellow Elmers glue and put on a med. cost and then add the dirt. Let this dry and then you make a mixture of white glue and water, it's a 50/50 mixture. Make sure that you shake off the excess dirt and then with a brush dap the mixture over the dirt dont rub it, dab it on. let dry and the base is done. then you can add grass or what ever.. Also insead of dirt you can use a great product called Peamoss you can get it at any store that sell garden supplies..Good Luck, Rick Kennair
