Pickled Deer cap Question.

Hi. I have a deer cape thats been in a Formic acid/salt pickle for 2yrs now. (i know, gone through a divorce and put this on hold) so its time for me to get at it allready. Question is i have a mini Flesher and its difficult to flesh when is wet. The cape has not been fleshed yet. i plan on using the liqua tan on it. Can i salt it again to dry it before fleshing? then rehydrate it before the liqua tan? any sugesstion would be greatly appreciated! Travis.

Just take it out of your pickle , hang it up to drain till its damp not dripping, then flesh with your mini flesher, put it back in your pickle or adjust your pH and do your liqua tan thing, its just that easy !

Ditto, the only other thing you an do is let it drain and then freeze it.
