I recently had the pleasure of spending a day with Bill at his facility in NY.  Not only is he a world class taxidermist but he is also a world class person!! Right from the start of the day it was like Bill and I had know eachother for years.  He has the ability to adapt to your style of learing and makes you feel comfortable.  Bill is a consummate host going out of his way to make sure your expectations are satisfied, and I must say that this course was beyond my expectations.  Bill basically tailor fit the course to my needs and made changes/transitions from shop time to time with the deer dependending on lighting conditions with photography in mind.  If you don't learn everything you want, there is only one person to blame, yourself....for not asking.  I had arrrived the night before class, and Bill had taken care of my accommodations.  I stayed in a bed and breakfast that was beautiful, clean and also had amazing hosts, with food that was out of this world.  The White Farm bed and breakfast also is rich in taxidermy history and was an added bonus.  Original murals by David Bruce and Carl Akeley adorn the walls with vintage taxidermy pieces throughout the home.  You couldn't beat the price for $55 for single occupancy and $75 for double.  I would have easily paid double the amount Bill is asking for this course and for the information I gained.  The deer were very tame and used to people, making them very approachable, and touchable.  Some of the deer will actually come right up to you and nudge you.  Oh yea and if you are looking for lunch the "HO-HO" Chinese restaurant has excellent food and Bill is apparently a regular...He was welcomed like Cliff on Cheers when we walked in.

This is the deer I have named "Licker" very friendly and will leave you with a slime covered arm!

This is the monster Bill calls BLACK JACK.  These pictures don't do him justice, after Bill and I would leave him and come back we both always had the same reaction both of us going on about how big he is.

Another of BLACK JACK

I had never seen a picture of Bills second best in world whitetail so I asked and he showed me a picture....WOW that is one of the best looking whitetails I have ever seen, and some of the other mounts he as done are amazing as well.

Thanks again Bill it was an excellent learning experience

Vince thank you so much for your kind words. Its quite obvious that Vince is going to be doing some more very nice work, judging by what he has shown me so far, coupled with the reference he already studies and has gotten here too.

Vince at work. Thats Vince down in the grass taking pics to the left of the buck...

Another view of what Vince did a lot of...

BTW thats Norm on Cheers, not Cliff, lol.

Yea Bill I was driving to Home Depot, and I was thinking about the post and it hit me that for some reason I wrote Cliff instead of Norm  Grin  However Cliff was somewhat of a ladies man...you know with all of that postal service knowledge  Wink

Thanks again Bill
