Buy a cheap wire welder at say Harbor freight,  120.00, pipe, bolts , a little square tubing, some 1/8" plate all that will be about 75.00. Then build it your self and save 200.00 and you'll have a nice welder for the future.

Try your local welding shop and have it built the way you would like it.

I built a nice stand for around 25 dollars using 1 1/4 schedule 40 tube.

Or, if you want, alot of people like the McKenzie stands found in their catalog.

Butch Bragg out of VT makes a heavy duty stand. I'm not sure on the price but folks like Pete Lajoie and George Dante use his stand. You can reach him at (802) 388-4264. I may see him at Cabelas' this weekend, but catching him by phone is probably best.

Sorry.......I don't know how to post pics on here.....if I had your email address I would take some pics of the ones I've used for over 40 years now...they attach to the end of the table....they are old school but work well.   They are made out of pipe and some plate steel.

This is what we use for the big mounts. It's a hoyer lift. Husband works in medical industry and got it pretty cheap. Modified it to accept the plate from regular mounting stands. It's got heavy duty wheels and the legs can be moved apart for extra support.

For those that may want to see what a Butch Bragg mounting stand looks like, check out page 5 on the lifesize animal of the month of July. Matt Marulli has a half mount bear on one.
