I will add that the wet tans no longer wreak of diesel fuel....  I have a couple to mount soon.  I hope they mount up as good as the tan David used to use.

I bought a sheep tannery from Bill Dallam in Maine 6 years ago. Looking back, I wish I had left those sheep alone and stuck with my many years of taxidermy tanning. I really got myself into a jam taking on sheep. I lost my Dad and my Grandfather the year I started and over the last two years have been in survival mode with my wife Sharon fighting spindle cell sarcoma. Sharon is now out of radiation and recovering these last 3 months from the radiation burn. We now have gotten two negative tests back with no sign of cancer anywhere!

I have eliminated doing any sheep forever! Bob and Ann are doing all the dry tans and all the admin work. That leaves me to do what I have done best for 28 years now and that is to shave a thin hide that is a pleasure to mount.

I have made a lot of mistakes my first effort in the tanning business. I believe this is the next best move for all involved. I will be handling wet tans only. My capacity is known now after 4 full seasons and what I can't handle goes to New York.

Thanks to everyone that stuck with me these last 4 years and I hope I can help those of you that moved on to come back onboard.
