I've got a Bison to do next week ( maybe) and I have a few questions.

1.  Does anyone have a side picture of a Bison that shows the angle of the horns.  I have the skull cap but using a McKenzie form with the cores already on it.  I could figgure it out from the skull cap but would like a picture to aid.

2.  How do you go about attaching the horns to the core on the manikin.

The angle of the base of the horns flows out and slightly backwards from the skull and then the point of the horn comes around and forward.  THere is usually a flat spot on the back of the horns to allow you to be able to tell which side is which, at least on the bigger horns.  The horn points are usually striaght across from each other straight above the point of the form on the back of the head.  As far as attaching the horns I just rasp down the horn cores on the form, since they are generally a little to big, until I can get the horn to slide on in the position I want.  THen I just mix up some bondo and put it on the inside of the horn and slide it on the core and allow it to set up, then it won't come off and really is strong.  Hope this helps and good luck

Make sure you charge enough, this one I used bondo and then right at the base I drilled a couple small holes then screwed them on before the bondo set up.I screwed them close enough that I could cover up the crews with epoxy and then color and then comb the hair over.

No offense to anyone else, but that's one of the best Bison mounts I've seen! That front view is awesome.

I have to agree that to me looks like a very well put together mount.
