I got some fly swatters to make out of Wildebeest and Zebra tail. I want a wood handle. Does anybody know where I can buy some or is their anybody on here with a lathe that can make me some?

you can buy unfinished  turned oak table legs in different lengths, at home depot thats what i use ,  just glue a wooden dowel rod in the end and sew the tail on stain and finish  and your done

I use wood dowels you can get at Lowes.  Sand or grind a taper to one  end to fit the tail hide, sew and glue the hide on.  I usually add a couple small nails for better hold. I also drill a hole on the other end of the dowel to put a leather shoe lace thru for hanging.

I paint the handle black before mounting.
