I have just recentley got a habitat scene completely finished.  What it is, is a swamp habitat with (elmers glue/mud/under 5ml of water) and some lilypad stems extending upwards.  Then 3.75" up I have an 1/8" piece of plexiglass.  I had put mud on the night before and let it dry.  The next day I set the plexiglass on the base and sealed it in with silicone.  After the silicone set up, I mixed up some artificial water, made my pour and added the lilypads and duckweed.  I also forgot to mention that a piece of wood is sticking up from the bottom through a hole in the plexiglass and extending over the entire base.  After I made my pour and it had dried, I let it set for two days to let it completely cure.  Now, I have noticed that I have a white furry fungis/mold.  I also noticed that one corner of the plexiglass pulled up after curing and there was air getting to the habitat below.  There is no way for me to get the top off and spray it down with laquer thinner.  The mold is also only on the parts that I poured the day before I made my water scene.  If I where to let it go, would it go away or is this a horrible catastrophe.  Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like mold from moisture, hard to tell , maybe your glue did not cure enough , also if the corner culled up , this could be the problem , when pouring water it will generate a lot of heat , so you have to do it in smaller amounts , if the cornere of the plexi is curlled up , use a heat gun and heat it up and it will go back down.
