Scoring a Corsican Ram

My son bagged a ram this past yr , I measured it as to what I was told was correct for scoring ,,, measuring the total length and circum. at base and midway pt. then add the right & left side thus giving me 94 1/2" ,,,, is this the correct way to score a ram if so how does 94 1/2" come out as far as trophys go ,, was also 37 3/4" wide , though that makes no difference it looks good

No, sorry that is not the correct way of measuring a sheep. What you do is measure the length of both horns, take the length of the longer horn and divide that into quarters. Now mark those quarter measurements on to both horns and measure the circumference at those points, which would be...Base circumference...1st quarter...2nd...3rd . Do this on both horns, add those 8 circumference measurements and the length of both horns together and that will give you your total score. A good score for a Corsican would be in the 130 and up range.
Good luck and take your time...Max
